you might wonder why I would encourage your endorsement of an amendment to protect the institution of marriage... well, given that it was the claim of those supported prop 8, I too now want to endorse that protection. Let us now amend the constitution to make divorse illegal. Heck, that will do so much more to protect the institution of marriage.Lets remember what the bible teaches:
As I walk down the street, often people ask me, “John, how can I avoid the hell-fire and torment of eternal damnation?” When it comes to marriage the answer is simple: Never get divorced. Ever.
Jesus says getting divorced is a sin:
Mark 10:9-11
9 Therefore what God has joined together, let man not separate.”
10 When they were in the house again, the disciples asked Jesus about this.
11 He answered, “Anyone who divorces his wife and marries another woman commits adultery against her.
12 And if she divorces her husband and marries another man, she commits adultery.
