About
I was born in Amersfoort, The Netherlands some years back. My family immigrated to the United States in the early 1960's, which included a family of seven boys, the eighth being born in the U.S. Our family has its roots in the rural country, primarily in the town of Buren, Gelderland.
My earlier years included visits to my grandparents farm in Gerlderland province, where the town of Buren is located. The farm, however small, was a treasure to me, included cows and horses. In those early years, our Friesians were used for utility, pulling the milk cart to the local cooperative to sell the milk, that combined with the simple bareback ride was sufficient to plant that seed that would carry on later in my life. Horses, however small or large, whatever the breed, have been in my heart and life ever since.
Horses are our passion - no other words could better describe the feelings we have for horses. The breeding, training and the care for horses in general gives us a great sense of satisfaction no other work could do.
After immigrating to the US, we settled in Southern California were I lived until after HS graduation; after which I returned to Europe only to return some four years later.
My life today includes my partner of eighteen years, Dennis who continues to be supportive of my equine endeavors; we are joined by my two sons, Kevin and Hans, both who are active in my and my ex-wife's life. They are very special to us and make us more proud every day, as they have become young men of character... neither could make us more proud!
